Welcome to 5th Stapleford Scout Group
5th Stapleford Scout Group is based at Wesley Place in Stapleford. We currently have four different sections: a Beaver Colony, a Cub Pack, a Scout Troop, an Explorer Unit. Each section meets weekly, and where possible we try to get out and about. We work hard to ensure that children have many different opportunities and experiences which align with our aims.

Fun
Our first aim is for our young people to have fun. Scouting is an opportunity for our young to mix with other people they wouldn't normally interact with
Following our Autumn Night Hike, these Scouts enjoyed a well-earned late-night pizza. Without 5th Stapleford, these Scouts would not know each other. Their friendship was evident through the encouragement they gave each other to be able to complete a challenging 10 mile hike.

Personal Development
Then we aim to support the personal development of our young people. Creating opportunities and experiences which utilise the skills of teamwork, tolerance and understanding and fair play.
Practical Skills
We aim to provide our young people with skills for life. Through working towards badges, going on camps and taking part in expeditions, we teach those practical skills which young people need to thrive throughout their life.
